Boggled Thoughts 3-Humanity and Patriotism

To start off let me just say the reason this took awhile is because I wanted to wait for this thing to die down a bit before discussing it and I feel that now would be a good time to do so. Ever sense football player Colin Kaepernick decided to make the decision book to sit out and kneel the national anthem their has been say a lot of attention on the matter. Ranging from Black Lives Matter and actually some veterans supporting his decision which was his way of protesting cop violence towards African Americans, to hardcore American Patriots and other veterans not supporting his decision calling him a disgraceful publicity whore who should leave the country if he don’t like it. Now I personally think he shouldn’t have done that to a country he was born and lives in and feel that if he feels the need to protests something he feels strongly in he should direct it not at the nations flag that soldiers risk their lives for, but rather the government that makes a lot of  these crooked decision that effects ALL of us not mattering what race we are. If he’s gonna sit out  or kneel at anything it should be the Government seal NOT the nations flag. However when the incident happened where Kaepernick was receiving deaths threats from some people for his action the only thing I could think is, by doing that their only making the situation worse by unintentionally encouraging others to repeat and or follow the action of what Kaepernick did. And Actually when that did happen rapper Immortal Technique created a meme on his twitter that said quote, I wont trade humanity for patriotism, and before any hardcore patriots read this and say he don't like this country he should leave he already beat us to that punch 4 or 5 years ago when he moved to Peru, and before anyone else says things like how he haven't been relevant 4 to 5 years ago and is just trying to get attention that may be accurate but that's not the point. I’m not saying rather I agree or disagree with that meme but I do see understand where he’s coming from in saying that but personally I feel that people in this situation are starting to too radical in their patriotism and too radical in their support for humanity that people are forgetting to just stop and try to make a healthy balance between the 2 and to maintain COMMON SENSE in this whole fiasco. And before anyone even THINKS of accusing me of being unpatriotic for posting this let me just say that, A) I’m happy & love this country too and believe in a good humanity balance but feel their are some issues going on in America that SHOULD be looked into but I don't feel the need to leave anytime soon & even if I did I would STILL love the country I was born in. And B) patriotism isn’t just an American thing its a world thing, I’m sure Canadians are just as patriotic of Canada as we are with America.
